In support of the Governor’s stay at home order and social distancing guidelines, the Whatcom Council on Aging is making the following changes to our congregate lunch program (senior community meals).
Beginning Wednesday, April 1st we are transitioning from daily hot lunch pick-up to a once-a-week pick up of seven meals. Each package will include a hot meal plus six frozen meals prepared by our cooks. The bags will also contain a half gallon of 2% milk and whole grain bread.
These meals are available to adults over 60 and are donation based. No one will be turned away due to an inability to donate. Meals will be distributed at the following locations on the days listed from 11:30 am-12:30 pm.

Sumas & Everson (360) 778-5850 Mondays
NOTE:
- No meal pick-up provided at Welcome Senior Center
- The Lynden Senior Center is continuing daily hot meal pick up at this time.
If you are 60 and over and cannot get to the BSAC to pick-up meal, are in need of home delivered meals, or do not have the ability to reheat frozen meals, please call 360-746-6480.
Meals on Wheels
There are currently no changes to the Meals on Wheels Program. The Meals on Wheels program will continue regular hot and frozen meal delivery for Meals on Wheels clients as long as staffing and volunteer capacity allows.
