
For over two decades, the Bellingham Regional Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Haggen Northwest Fresh and the Port of Bellingham to provide the community with its annual July 4th fireworks display.
Starting at 2:00 p.m., enjoy a family-friendly assortment of kids games and art projects featuring Allied Arts teaching artists. Inner Child studios will be in the park providing FREE interactive activities as will the Bellingham Circus Guild. Children will be delighted with Chelle Beautiful face painting.
The 21-and-older crowd can visit the Silver Reef Beer Garden starting at 2:00 p.m. where Boundary Bay Brewing’s beer will be served. The Beer Garden has been moved to the west end of the park to make room for the Heady Virtual Reality Arcade in the Squalicum Boathouse. Heady will be providing free VR experiences to kids 8 years old and older.
Hungry celebrants can purchase refreshments from local food vendors, including Jeckyl & Hyde, Jalapeno’s, Simmering Tava, Kona Ice Bellingham, Dipsy Concessions and Pizza’zza.
While limited parking will be available at Squalicum Harbor, celebrants are encouraged to walk, bike or use the free passenger shuttles that are open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
Free passenger shuttles provided by Lummi Indian Business Council will run from 1:00 p.m. through 11:00 p.m. and pick up passengers at Bellingham High School, 2020 Cornwall Ave. The drop-off point will be the CityMac parking lot inside Squalicum Harbor. Event-goers will then use the promenade pedestrian path to reach the event site.
