We are excited to welcome our esteemed presenters: Calaneet Balas, President & CEO of The ALS Association and Michael A. Elliott, MD, FAAN, Executive Medical Director at Providence-Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle. Balas will address the increased rate of prevalence of ALS and the steps The ALS Association is taking to serve our population. Dr. Elliot will share the importance of multidisciplinary clinics, particularly regarding rural healthcare, and how he helped establish a multidisciplinary telehealth clinic in the Tri-cities. The musical guest is Gunhild Carling, Sweden’s Queen of Swing. With eleven albums under her belt, she has been heavily influenced by Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday. Along with singing, Carling plays many instruments including the trombone, bagpipes, trumpet, banjo, ukulele, and harp. This year’s event will include both in-person and virtual attendees from across our region. The evening will include a live and silent auction, raffle, entertainment, dinner, drinks, and more.
