The Whatcom Artist Studio Tour returns for its 27th annual adventure! The first two weekends in October, on
Saturday and Sunday, October 2–3 and October 8–10, artists will open their doors to visitors from 10AM–5PM each day.
The Whatcom Artist Studio Tour is a FREE juried event offering visitors the opportunity to meet the region’s finest artists in their own creative
spaces, see their creations and learn about their inspiration. Many artists will be demonstrating their creative techniques. There are 31
participating artists in 22 studios located throughout Bellingham and Whatcom County.
Due to the pandemic, Covid protocols according to
state mandate are in place, requiring masks in indoor studios. Some artists with outdoor galleries may also require masking.
For 27 years, Whatcom artists have opened their studio doors to share their creative vision and energy with visitors for the first two
weekends in October. It’s an ideal time to purchase fine art and craft from its source..
Board chair, Chris Moench says: “The last year and more has been a time of great uncertainty and loss for many people. Yet, for our
community of artists it has also been an opportunity to dive deep into our work in search of solace, inspiration and renewal. This year’s tour is
the first opportunity in a long while to share our efforts with the public. We hope that the Studio Tour sparks a revolution of positive creativity
among our visitors! ”
We’ve produced a printed brochure with a map and listings of each artist’s studio, their medium and locations. Additionally it shows which
artists are performing demonstrations and studios that are wheelchair accessible. Free maps will be available at the artist’s studios, local
businesses around the area.
In addition to the printed version of the map, our website has a live map with locations and artist descriptions. Visit www.studiotour.net
